OverPeak is an open-world, third-person action game that takes you into the streets of Prism City. In this dark adventure you play as Jason Fieldway, known as Subject OP, an experiment of the Starbridge Corporation who returns from the grave with extraordinary powers as he tries to avenge the loss of his beloved and, at the same time, destroy everyone who caused him pain. Inspired by the inFamous saga, this title makes you a part of intense adventures in which you strive to become the savior of the entire city.

Good movement physics with a cinematic style

Throughout your journey in OverPeak, you will have a wide range of supernatural abilities at your disposal from the very start. By tapping on the action buttons, you can shoot thermal and freezing laser beams from your eyes to obliterate security guards, cause explosions, or destroy everything in your path by lifting your feet off the ground while defying gravity. Your actions directly affect a reputation system that will change the way the inhabitants react to your presence. Sometimes everyone will flee, and other times the inhabitants will find your skills to be a vital lifeline.

My experience testing OverPeak on Android

When I launched OverPeak on my POCO F5, I liked the cinematic opening sequence where I witnessed Jason Fieldway's awakening in a facility where computer monitors were warning that Subject OP had come back to life. In my first playthrough, I only had to tap the first mission "Back From the Dead" to test the superhero's skills by taking down everyone in the compound without letting anyone escape. Controlling Jason, equipped with a striking dark suit, I used the laser vision ability to take down the guards from a distance by pressing the action button on the side. At the same time, I found the flight controls very intuitive for destroying all the elements in what appeared to be a sort of technological operations center.

What I liked most about OverPeak and what could be improved

• What I liked most: The open-world gameplay combined with a fairly intense destruction system increases the excitement. Your powers are very varied and the on-screen touch controls are intuitive when it comes to combining physical attacks and special abilities.

• What could be improved: The amount of graphic violence and explicit blood effects as you fight through security forces may feel excessive for certain audiences. On top of that, the camera behavior when indoors could do with some additional polish so you don't lose sight of enemies in certain camera angles.
